Feeling depressed? Here’s an easy way to get rid of depression without anti-depressants.
By Dennis Fisher
Depression is a mental condition that is becoming increasingly common. More and more people suffer today from depressed feelings of despondency, apathy and disinterest. Symptoms of depression often include a mood of hopelessness. Everything seems futile. Nothing seems worthwhile.
It’s a mental state that affects people of all ages – from young students to the elderly – in every walk of life.
Many people, who feel constantly depressed, use anti-depressant drugs to help them get rid of depression.
One of the most popular anti-depressants prescribed by doctors is the Fluoxetine drug known as Prozac. Prozac has proved helpful in treating symptoms of depression. But, like all drugs, there is always the danger of side effects.
Side effects reported include nausea, digestive problems, insomnia and extreme fatigue. In a number of cases there have been reports of undesirable sexual side effects.
If you are one of the many unfortunate individuals, who suffers from depression and you don’t want to use anti-depressants because of the danger of side-effects, you’ll be pleased to know there is another way to get rid of depression – a very easy way.
It doesn’t require the use of any type of medication whatsoever.
No doubt you’ve heard the following expression many times:
“You’ve got to have a reason to get up in the morning”.
Why are some people able to wake up in the morning bright and cheerful, ready to start the day with optimism and enthusiasm while others find this so difficult to do?
Depression, Factors that Trigger Depression

Depression is a very complex disease. There is no single cause for depression. There are many factors that can trigger depression.
It is believed that depression is commonly caused by not just one factor but a combination of different factors.
Although the causes of depression has not been definitively identified and revealed, the two main factors that cause depression are biological and social.
Biological level, depression can be caused as a result of an unbalanced level of hormones in the brain, particularly serotonin. In this case, doctors often prescribe depression medications necessary to recover the balance of hormones.
At the social level, depression can occur due to objective difficulties such as unemployment, financial problems, and death of a loved one, loss of relationship or any other major trauma or stress. In this case, use of depression medication and psychotherapy is not mandatory is the preferred treatment.
Depression runs in families. If you have a family history of depression, which is more likely to get depression. But not everyone has the genetic composition for depression is depressed, it depends. Many people with no family history of depression may become depressed. Thus, genes are not the only cause of depression.
Those suffering from serious illness and experience a stressful life event tend to feel depressed. Difficult life events such as the parents divorce, separate, and death can lead to depression. Some people may become depressed for events like moving or changing schools.
A Brief History of Alternative Medicine

The alternative medicine is known to have a long history. It would seem the therapies could be traced back to almost 5000 years. There were some countries and cultures that started practicing the alternative medicine. The right thing to say that history of alternative medicine has developed in China, India and some other countries. The Chinese were the pioneers of the Chinese traditional medicine, while India was the pioneer of the ayurvedic medicine. There was a common belief in all those started developing the alternative medicines, the belief were that the energy of the body needs to be in harmony with the body, the mind as well as the spirit of the person.
In the conventional medicine all these belief does not have any place. The conventional medication usually treats the symptoms of the disease and tries to heal the person by taking the obstacles away from the body and then heal the person. There are many therapies, which are practiced, in the alternative medicines. These therapies have been there since the history of alternative medicine. The therapies included in the medication mostly consist of certain changes in the lifestyle, preventive measures as well as self-care. Self-care is one of the important parts of the alternative medicine.
The doctors and the experts today are giving their opinion in the favor of the alternative medicine. It is with no doubt that the history of alternative medicine is very much rich and the future of these medicines are also fairly bright. Formerly there was less conventional medicine and more medicines, which were alternative and unconventional. People used the different kind of objects from the nature to treat their illness. Other than this there were different kinds of therapies. Magnetic therapy is a great instance of the alternative medicine. The magnetic therapy is used widely today.
Cystic acne and junk food

In order to get rid of cystic acne, it’s an excellent idea to avoid junk food. Some people, no matter what they do in terms of diet, exercise, and general lifestyle changes, continue to have cystic acne that requires medical treatment. You may be an example of the extremely fortunate individual whose skin responds just to changes in diet. It’s unfair, however, to suggest that an improved diet will be a panacea for all people with acne.
Obviously, if an individual notices a connection between eating a certain food, for example, chocolate, shell fish, spinach, fried foods, and breakouts, he or she should avoid those foods. But not everyone has such clear flags.
But food is not the only cause for cystic acne. Frankly I sometimes wonder if more people don’t have adult cystic acne because of our toxic environment, including our food. Or maybe part of it is that everybody didn’t feel as great a need to be perfect in the past. Maybe more people are seeking acne treatment now than in the past, I’m not saying that seeking treatment is necessarily a bad thing; if help is available, why not take advantage of it?
My advice is to press the doctor for something else and if it doesn’t work seek a new doctor who will prescribe Accutane or something similar for a five-month course. Cystic acne is just too unpleasant a condition to be lived with if there is a medication that can control it and the risks are reasonable.

Benefits Of Alternative Medicine And Therapy Against Modern Medicine

Over the last couple of years alternative medicine has gained enormous reputation. Today we hear a lot about alternative medicine and therapy that are widely being used, but yet there are many who are still not sure about its benefits and often raise questions regarding its effectiveness. In fact, many people who ask questions like – how it differs from conventional medication. They usually speculate why it’s been labeled or always referred as “alternative” and what benefits it can deliver against modern medicine.
In broad terms, “alternative system of medicine” differs totally from the mainstream medicine. In comparison to modern medicine, this form of medicine actually works by combining different elements of lifestyle including exercise regime, diet along with the actual medicine itself. It is a practice of consuming a medicine without having a heavy dose of any drug. Perhaps it is one of its own kinds of therapies where an individual becomes a member of different treatment techniques. The best part is it doesn’t have any side effects. Every treatment techniques are 100% natural and safe. They majorly use natural substances processed simply. It doesn’t involve any participation of advanced manufacturing processes, which commonly generally make use of carbon polluting energy.
Apart from this, if we talk more about its benefits then alternative system of medicine is much more cost effective. The cost involved in alternative therapy is generally affordable and even the most financially compromised families can easily afford it. Adding to this, it usually recognizes the true nature of disease. Besides this, alternative medicine recognizes physical symptoms only develop when you ignore the mental and emotional signs and symptoms. And, this mental strength allows individual to deal with different health problems as they arise. An individual finally able to understand the how physical body functions and the way it relates to health.
New Hair Loss Medication for Improved Results

It always used to be the case that hair loss medication was pretty much of an anathema – a palliative prescribed to sufferers from various hair loss conditions in the hope that some of it might take. This is no longer true. Significant advances in the science of hair loss therapy by means other than transplant have identified a couple of areas where man made chemical application can either stimulate the growth of new hair or significantly retard the loss of original hair.
Much of this science has to do with male hormones, which are usually the causes of hair loss in the first place. Testosterone, the male growth hormone, converts naturally to a substance known as DHT (dihydrotestosterone) – the major culprit for all types of hereditary balding. Once the scalp starts to produce DHT the hair falls out – so modern hair loss medication concentrates on inhibiting the conversion of normal testosterone to DHT on the understanding that this should slow down the balding process. It should be noted that in most cases DHT inhibitors cannot promote hair re-growth (though if the process is arrested early enough, they can): but they do stop the march of balding for a significant period of time. Medication containing DHT inhibitors is ideal for people who find themselves going bald at an early age and wish to arrest the process without recourse to the more drastic solution of hair replacement surgery.
